As a part of encouraging new research fields and innovative thinking of the faculty, an International conference was organized with active collaboration by Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering which is entitled as “First International Conference on Computational and Intelligent Techniques for Automation of Engineering Systems (CITAES-2018)” during 30 November 2018 - 1 December 2018. The conference mainly consisted of 7 tracks namely Signal Processing,
Communications, VLSI-Embedded Systems, Software Engineering, Power Electronics-Control and Automation and Power Systems. Total of 166 papers were received from all around the world in which 132 were accepted. 103(38 papers from Signal Processing and Communications, 37 papers from VLSI-Embedded Systems and Software Engineering, 28 papers from Power Electronics- Control and Automation and Power Systems ) were registered and presented at the conference. Dr. S. Srinivas Kumar, Honourable Vice Chancellor JNTUA, Anantapuram was the Chief Guest for inaugural ceremony of CITAES-2018 and released the Softcopy of CD of Conference proceedings. Dr. Ho Chiung Ching, Dean Faculty of Computing and Informatics, Multimedia University, Malaysia and Prof. A.B.Chattopadhyay, Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics, BITS, Pilani-Dubai Campus, U.A.E was the Guests of Honour. Dr. Ho Chiung Ching, gave a Keynote address on “Machine Learning Fairness and Veracity” and Prof. A.B.Chattopadhyay, Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics BITS, Pilani-Dubai Campus U.A.E delivered a lecture on “High Speed transportation System using MAGLEV/linear levitated induction motor. Eminent professors from NIT’s and other reputed institutions acted as chair persons for different sessions. Six papers from abroad were accepted which includes four papers from Germany and two papers from USA. Prof A.B.
Chattopadhyay Adhir Baran, Professor, EEE, BITS Pilani-Dubai was the Chief Guest for valedictory function and Dr. P. Sri Hari, Associate Professor, ECE, NIT, Warangal; Dr. D.V.S.S. Siva Sarma, Professor, EEE, NIT, Warangal; Dr. T. Kishore Kumar, Professor, ECE, NIT, Warangal were the Guests of Honour.
